I will be traveling to California this week for some R&R…or as Archie Bunker used to not so affectionately refer to as The Land of Fruits and Nuts. That was damn funny in 1975, and still is. Anyway…as there is hardly a more liberal place in these great United States, it got me thinking about all of the stark differences between conservatives and liberals. So, for this week’s post, I have compiled a list of 12 such observations for your reading pleasure that I have labeled The Dirty Dozen. Enjoy. The Dirty Dozen
Liberals’ hearts bleed for illegal immigrants.
Conservatives’ hearts bleed for victims of illegal immigrants.
Liberals believe in free speech…for those that agree with them.
Conservatives believe in free speech for all.
Liberals ignore the ticking time bomb of the entitlements driven $20 trillion of debt.
Conservatives are viciously demonized for even suggesting entitlement reform.
Liberals want a cradle to grave entitlement society.
Conservatives want a personal responsibility and safety net society.
Liberals believe in the power of “one size fits all” central government control.
Conservatives believe in the power of individual citizens and the states.
Liberals want open borders.
Conservatives want to protect our sovereignty and security.
Liberals believe the Govt owns your income and decides how much you can keep.
Conservatives believe your income is yours and Govt should take as little as possible.
Liberals demonize success.
Conservatives celebrate success.
Liberals assume wealth is obtained on the backs of the poor and via nefarious means.
Conservatives assume wealth is obtained via hard work and risk taking.
Liberals always want to slash military funding.
Conservatives always want to fund the military robustly.
Liberals want to whitewash and sanitize our history.
Conservatives own our history…the good, the bad, AND the ugly.
Liberals find reasons to complain about flags flying.
Conservatives are the ones flying the flags.
