You Had Me at 59 Tomahawks

You probably remember the famous line “You had me at hello” from the movie Jerry Maguire. Well, President Trump…you had ME at 59 Tomahawks.  And the encore…The Mother of All Bombs.  Now THAT has quite a ring to it, does it not?  And we’re not even talking about Shia LaBeouf’s latest flick…from what I hear, the cinematic equivalent of waterboarding…but I digress.  So, color me impressed, to say the least, with this big mother of a bomb…I guess size does matter.  A quick history lesson…I love how Obama used to talk incessantly during his whole tenure about the economic abyss he was handed by Bush 43.  Well, one could very successfully argue the epicenter of that mess was the collapse of the mortgage and housing markets, courtesy of a couple of dopey Democrats, Barney Frank and Chris Dodd.  Trusting these dolts to oversee Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac was like trusting Michael Jackson to babysit your kids…but that’s a story for another day.  Point is that blaming that economic collapse on W is more of a stretch than the waist on Michael Moore’s pants.  The REAL abyss handed to a new President by his predecessor is the international crap sandwich handed to The Donald on a silver platter by Barack Hussein Obama.

In a sick sort of way, the Obama presidency was really a blessing in disguise (hang with me here for a moment). From an international perspective, we got a full reality check in terms of what happens when you hand the reins of the only remaining superpower to a bunch of liberal academics who micromanage military strategy from some White House safe space…with decisions based on nothing more than self-serving political calculations.  And don’t take my word for it.  Just read the books of his multiple Secretaries of Defense to learn if Obama ever listened to them OR their Generals.  For eight long years, we endured an Obama foreign policy driven by cowardice, leading from behind, and political correctness, resulting in the continual nose-thumbing at a once feared U.S. by every bad actor on the planet.  Obama and John Kerry (aka Herman Munster) bragged about the great “diplomatic” deals they made with countries like Iran and Syria, when these deals in fact have about as much teeth as a denture wearing geriatric.  Turns out evil guys that slaughter people for a living have no qualms about violating “agreements” before the ink is even dry.  Diplomacy is great, but what Barry failed, or refused to understand was that diplomacy without the realistic threat of military force is like salt without pepper…fish without chips…and, dare I say, strippers without poles (so I hear, on the latter). Ok, let’s see…killed almost 100 terrorists, destroyed major networks of tunnels critical for the stealth movement of these cockroaches, and no reported civilian casualties.  Hmmm…anyone looking for a downside here comes up emptier than the high school bleachers at a Hillary Clinton campaign stop.  Most importantly, though, we seem to be in a clear “message sending” mode right now…the U.S. military is back in business, baby!  As Charles Krauthammer stated so bluntly last week on Fox News Special Report, “the eight years of free lunch is over.”

Instead of sharing the quotes of nauseating, incoherent Libs like that guy on MSNBC, Rachel Maddow, and Lizzy “Pocahontas” Warren..both of whom would criticize President Trump if he cured cancer and brought peace to the Middle East on the same day…let’s look at the words of a guy whose opinion REALLY matters on this particular subject…the dude who sent Usama bin Laden to rot in Hell, Rob O’Neill.  This, from FoxNews.com, “Rob O’Neill, the man who killed Usama bin Laden, said those who are questioning the use of the 21,000-pound ordnance are missing the bigger point. He said it wasn’t just about taking out ISIS militants or disrupting their underground tunnel system, it also delivers a psychological blow to our enemies in the region and around the world.  O’Neill said the strategic effect of the bomb is also important, since the military used to send troops into the cave and tunnel system, which was extremely dangerous.  “I don’t think you can put a dollar amount on somebody’s legs, on an American soldier’s life,” noting that just a week ago a Green Beret was killed in the area.  “You’re dealing with people [who] only understand force.”  O’Neill also praised President Trump for giving military commanders the latitude they need to deploy weapons like this, something he didn’t see under the Obama administration.”

So…stand with Rob O’Neill and you’re on solid ground all day long.   But align with two leftist PC Socialist nut jobs like Mr. Maddow and The Squaw, and you’re up to your neck in quicksand.

Obvious choice for sane people, anyway.
